Author Topic: How to unlock HTC devices on Marshmallow (6.0) or Nougat (7.0) for Global GSM  (Read 1136 times)

If your HTC device is on Marshmallow or Nougat then it can be unlocked only using Reseller Tools.
Please follow the steps listed below.

1.) Download and install our app from here, directly from your phone.

2.) Purchase the HTC unlock license from within the app, then close it.

3.) Go to System > About Phone > Software Information > More > About > Software Information > More and tap "Build Number" 7 times to enable "Developer Menu",
     then enable "USB Debugging" in the Developer Menu.

4.) From the phone dial: ##3424#

5.) Move the switch to set DM enabled.

6.) Connect the phone to the PC using an USB cable and wait for all drivers to finish installing.

7.) Browse into the phone folder and copy the IMEI.unlock file to somewhere on your computer (Desktop is fine).

8.) Download and run Reseller Tools (Password of the archive: Be sure the phone is still connected to the PC.

9.) Select your IMEI.unlock file, wait a few seconds, the tool will download the license.
     Select your IMEI from the "Approved IMEIs" box.
     Check the to the right panel, click on the Get DM Ports button, it will become HTC unlock button, click on HTC unlock, phone will be unlocked.

10.) You should be greeted with Unlock Success message.

Just adding that on htc 10 you have to enable usb debugging inside developer options. Thanks
