Idoneapps requests su binary to be updated
« on: August 30, 2020, 11:30:54 PM »
1. Where do I get a newer su binary?

2. will I have to unroot then re-root, OR can I just use adb shell to copy the new su binary to /system/bin ?

1. Your app calls for v2.45-2.55 of the su binary.   I can't find those.  Will v2.82 work?

2.  the SuperSu zip file ( https://download.chainfire.eu/1220/SuperSU/ ) has lots of different su binaries.  Which one is the right one: mips, mips64, armv7, x64,arm?

1. Yes, if it's in System it will work (there is also a systemless root that isn't enough for our app, where su is copied outside the System dir).

2. It depends from your phone CPU type, if it's an S6 or newer device then it's arm64, while if older it's an armeabi-v7a.
See you ;-)
