How to understand these topics titles: Definitions and basic informations.

1.) Go to Settings > About device, here you have to read:

a. Software version:, for example G900PSPT3BOG1, from this version just consider the latest 3 digit, so OG1. Software version is a combination of letters and number, you know if one is above the other just looking at the last 3 digits because those are released in a alphabetical order, for the S5 (SM-G900P) versions are NCB, ND2, NE5, NK4, OA6, OD3, OF6, OG1, OK4; So to make an example, comparing NCB with ND2 is like this, first of all we have to compare the first digit, N = N, then we compare the second D > C, so ND2 is above NCB.

b. Model number: for example SM-G900P

c. Android version: for example 4.4.2, 4.4.4, 5.0 or 5.1.1 - Android version and Software version are related.

With the above information you have enough data to select the right topic, with the above example we would need to use the following topic:
"How to root & Unlock S5 SM-G900P OG1 and above 5.1.1 for Global GSM".
This topic covers the S5 Model with software version OG1 (that's Android version 5.0) and above including all 5.1.1 Android version roms.

2.) Pre-Rooted rom, what's that?
Pre-Rooted roms are the latest rom already rooted by Ryan, you just have to download and flash them with Odin3 (For Windows) or [url=http://rootmygalaxy.net/install-odin-jdoin3-for-mac-osx/]JOdin3 (For Mac).

3.) If you have a S5 (SM-G900P) or a S5 Sport (SM-G860P) our app may notify you this message when you run it:
Software Version: "XXX" on your "phone model" is BELOW the required minimum "YYY" for Global Unlock. Visit our forums for ROM updates.
That message is displayed when your S5 or S5 Sport have a software version below the required minimum one.
Required minimum rom for SM-G900P is OD3, while Required minimum rom for SM-G860P is OC5.
In such case if your S5 or S5 Sport is rooted you have to use Odin or JOdin3 to update the rom, we have the stock roms upped here for a fast download:

Else if your S5 or S5 Sport is NOT rooted then you can update the rom directly from the phone (Settings > System Update > Update Now), or use the above manual Odin or JOdin3 rom flash.

4.) If you have a Note3 (SM-N900P) or a S4 (SPH-L720) or S4 Triband (SPH-L720T) our app may notify you this message when you run it:
Baseband Version: XXX on your "phone model" is ABOVE the maximum YYY required for Global Unlock. Visit our forums for baseband flash.
That message is displayed when your Note3 or S4 or S4 Triband have a baseband (modem) version beyond the required maximum one.
Required maximum baseband for Note3 is MJ4, for S4 is MF9 and for S4 Triband is MK5.
In such case just use the roms Ryan prepared for the above models, those have the required modems already inculded:

5.) In these tutorials you're often required to copy files inside your phone internal sdcard, what's that?
It's the phone internal storage, the phone may have also an external storage if you purchase and insert an external SD Cart, so to select the right one, when you attach the phone to the PC, if you see 2 drives (Card and Phone) then internal SD Card one is Phone.

I have not a Note 4 anymore, please try, if QA1 is not downgradable then Odin will give you error as soon you try the flashing procedure and the phone will remain on QA1.
