Q&A Troubleshooting / Re: Sprint note 5, ATT LTE?
« on: January 26, 2016, 09:00:16 AM »
You'll need to set to LTE/GSM/WCDMA , there are some NV edits that need to be made for LTE as well as two APN's (one with LTE as bearer).  I also edited my apns.conf and telephony.db.  I have successfully got LTE and MMS to work, however as idone said when LTE picks up MMS goes crazy.  Simple reboot temporarily fixes this.   NV edits you def have to be careful doing.
what nv edits are these? i did two s6 and one s6 edge with this app and didn't have to do anything much beyond set apns and i got LTE fine...the note 5 is a tad different i'm finding

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56577252&postcount=455  Use that as a reference for NV edits.  You do not need the storage patch, obviously. Handcent with manual apn for mms fixes the MMS issue as well.

You may try going into ##DATA#/Edit (if sprint), then MORE, then HDR/1X Selection.   Should see the option you need here :)

There are other ways to get NV back to stock, however it will require getting the info from someone.  It can be done via QCN file in QPST, or a couple other programs out there to write NV Data (NV Reader/Writer).

I actually had to do this on a Note 5 Sprint (maybe even the one that suggested this?).   Now I've been able to get LTE on Straight Talk (ATT) with some modifications.
